Unable to make money transfer from 10 million VND

Facial recognition is required when making money transfers from 10 million VND on Techcombank Mobile and Techcombank Online Banking. See more cases that requires biometric information.

STARTING FROM JANUARY 1, 2025

All transactions can not be made on Techcombank Mobile

According to Circular 17/2024/TT-NHNN of the State Bank, all electronic transactions cannot be performed on Techcombank Mobile without completing the addition of biometric information.

Instructions to update on Techcombank Mobile

Select the menu in the upper left corner, then select Settings > Your Profile > Update your biometrics to authenticate transaction > Select “Update now”

Select “Scan chip ID card”, then select “I’m ready”

Scan the chip from the ID card according to the video instructions

Confirm personal information and complete the update as instructed

Select the menu in the upper left corner, then select Settings > Your Profile > Update your biometrics to authenticate transaction > Select “Update now”

Select “Connect with VNeID account”, check the information and select “All good”

Take a selfie to start

Keep your face within the frame and press the shutter when the dashed line turns green

Confirm information, select “Allow and connect with VNeID”

Click on the notification “Confirm information sharing request” and open VNeID, log in to continue

Select “Confirm sharing” on the VNeID app and enter the Passcode

Log in and select “Confirm sharing” on the VNeID app

After the system successfully authenticates, your biometric data will be saved. Select “Done”

Fast biometrics updating at Techcombank Branch

In case you are a foreign customer, please bring your passport to a Techcombank branch for support.
In case the device cannot update biometrics, please bring your ID card chip-embed to a Techcombank branch for support.
